Pandemonium broke out in Uyo when officials of
Vehicle Inspection Official (V.I.O) in the capital City of Akwa Ibom state punctured
the tires of A taxi which they claimed
was packed at the wrong place. The driver – an Oron indigene who was set to
take the vehicle back to Oron began to question them and they descended on him
with heavy blows.
An eyewitness had it that, “When the
V.I.O officials saw that the crowd was getting wider, they put a called to the
Police for help, and the officers of The Nigeria Police Force came instead and worsen
the already disgusting situation. The taxi man was stripped naked after beating
the day light out of him. But what has his cloth to do with it”, she asked.
The incident happened on Wednesday
26th October along Airport Road Uyo, at Ifa-attai, Etoi, Uyo local government.

collect Motorbikes from riders and demanding
