A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party
and former Minister of Aviation and Trursim Chief Femi Fani-Kayode has said
that moves to regulate Non-Governmental Organisations through a controversial
bill seeking to set up a federal agency to be known as the NGO
Regulatory Commission to regulate
activities of NGO’s and civil society organisations (CSOs) across the country
is evil. Fani-Kayode Fani-Kayode reacting to the controversy surrounding the
NGO Bill said:
The NGO Bill is evil. It will
cripple Churches, mosques and all NGO’s and bring them under govt control. I
advise Nigerians to resist it.
