The killer blamed the victim for the murder of her own boyfriend.
A 17-year-old member of the MS-13 gang allegedly told her 15-year-old victim, Damaris Reyes Riva (pictured, left), that she "would see her in hell" before stabbing her 13 times, an FBI agent testified.
The victim died, and Venus Romero Iraheta is one of ten members of the gang charged in the Maryland murder.
Authorities claim that Iraheta held Riva responsible for the murder of her boyfriend a week earlier, according to the New York Daily News.
"[Iraheta] told the victim she would never forgive her and would see her in hell," FBI Special Agent Fernando Uribe testified Thursday, according to the Washington Post.
Rivas' body was found in February, a month after she went missing. Investigators believe she was killed on or around Jan. 8.
It was determined during Thursday's hearing that Iraheta would be charged as an adult. Wilmer Sanchez-Serrano, 21, and Cindy Blanco Hernandez, Aldair Miranda Carcamo and Jose Castillo Rivas, all 18, are other adults accused in the murder of the teen.
