Report had it that
the victim was clearing grasses in an uncompleted building when his
assailant removed his head with a cutlass. Trouble reportedly started
when the deceased saw his neighbour, Victor, emerged from the bushy
uncompleted building which he was clearing, and inquired from him what
he went to do inside the building.
It was further gathered that Victor replied that he went to defaecate, a reply which angered the victim. He thereafter told his neighbour to remove the faeces, as he was going to clear the entire bushy compound.
The assailant was said to have refused and instead requested the victim to hand over his cutlass to him so that he could clear the area he defaecated on. Though spokesman for ths Edo State police command, DSP Osifo Abiodun, could not confirm the incident. A source at the Command said the suspect, Victor Osazuwa, has been arrested by men from Oba market police division who also recovered the said cutlass. Meanwhile, the corpse of the victim is said to have been deposited at the Central Hospital morgue in Benin City.
