The seven suspects namely; Gbenga Olawale, Okanlawon Abdullahi,
Shakiru Atoyebi, Mojeed Ahmed, Akeem Adeyemi, Usman Olajide and a woman,
Sarah Otun were said to have been arrested by police detectives
attached to Department of Criminal Intelligence and Investigation
(DCII0, Yaba, Lagos State, on January 3, 2016, around 5.30pm.
Lagos State police boss, Mr Fatai Owoseni told journalists that the suspects forged several documents, including government and insurance papers

His words: “Items recovered from them include; “5,000 copies of General Trust Insurance Company papers, 1,000 copies of Mutual Benefits Assurance papers, 1,200 copies of allocation registration papers, 2,500 copies of Kano State Internal Revenue documents, 2,000 copies of motor vehicle documents, 71 copies of auto- reg papers, six number plates and five rubber stamps.”
Owoseni said the syndicate as part of its illegal activities also usually changes numbers of their vehicles.
