Court Remands 2 Brothers For Stealing Phones

A Gusau Magistrates’ Court on Friday, ordered the remand of two brothers, Nafiu Abubakar and Usman Abubakar, both of Unguwar Dallatu, Tudun wada Area, Gusau, for conspiracy and armed robbery.
The prosecutor, Cpl. Ibrahim Aliyu told the court that on January1, Kabir Muhammad was in Yusuf Ado’s shop at Sabuwar Kasuwa, Gusau, discussing, when a three man gang of armed robbers attacked them.
Aliyu said the suspects held them at gun point, and collected two Techno phones, a Nokia phone and the sum of N314, 000 and escaped.

The prosecutor said that on Febuary 3, one of the stolen Techno phones was found with the two accused, Nafiu and Usman.
He said that the accused conspired and carried out the crime, which he said contravened section 305 of the penal code.
The accused pleaded not guilty to the charge levelled against them.
The Magistrate, Alhaji Umar Abdulnasir ordered that the two persons be remanded in prison custody.
He however, adjourned the case till March 1, for further mention.
