Auto crash claims six Ibadan Poly students, 13 others injured [PHOTOS]

No fewer than six students of the department of Quantity Survey, Ibadan Polytechnic, Oyo State, yesterday lost their lives while 13 others sustained varied degrees of injuries in a lone auto-crash at Motunde along Ibadan-Oyo Road, in the state.



It was learnt that the vehicle conveying both the deceased and the injured somersaulted severally as a result of a burst tyre before hitting the road barricade.
Those injured were said to have been rushed to St. Patrick Private Hospital and General Hospital in the state respectively while the corpses of the students were deposited at the mortuary of Adeoyo State Hospital, Yemetu area of the state.
Confirming the accident, the State Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Commission, Yusuf Salami, said details of what actually happened was still being compiled.
