Abduction: Gunmen Kidnap Senior Pastor In Okene, Demand N50m Ransom
A senior pastor of one of the leading churches in the country has been kidnapped in Okene, Kogi State.
The incident was said to have happened on Monday night at his residence when the respected pastor returned home from the church’s weekly Monday Bible Study.
A source who pleaded anonymity, because he was not authorised to speak on the matter, said the kidnappers, who stormed the pastor’s residence while he was with his son, who got married recently and other members of the family, took the pastor and drove away.
The source said the kidnappers are demanding N50 million as ransom before their captive is released.
Meanwhile, in a circulated text message the church is calling on its members to intensify prayers for the immediate and safe release of the pastor.
