Kidnappers of Fed Medical Centre staff demand N7m ransom

 
Akure—THE abductors of a pharmacist with the Federal Medical Centre, Owo, Ondo State, Mrs Queen Adeyeye, also a widow, have contacted her family requesting for ransom of N7 million.
Dependable family source hinted that the abductors contacted the family of the widow late on Sunday.
But the family members have pleaded that the request of the kidnappers was on the high side.
Vanguard was informed that the family and her Church (Deeper Life Bible Church) were pleading that the ransom be reduced to N1 million.
It was gathered that the husband of the victim died in December last year after a protected sickness.
One of his son who travelled to Ukraine to study medicine last year was said to have been contacted by the family on how they would raise the ransom money.
The kidnappers, according to report have insisted that they would not go below N3 million.
Vanguard learned that the family is at a cross road and had contacted all the friends of the husband of the victim to raise the ransom.
Family of the victim and leaders of her church are said to be meeting to decide on how to secure her release.
It will be recalled that Mrs Adeyeye was kidnapped after she returned from a church vigil last Saturday.
She was ambushed by the kidnappers at her residence located at Ishelu Quarters, Owo area of the state on Saturday.
