Police smash suspected cultists during initiation rites
ABRAKA – SIX students of the Delta State University, DELSU, Abraka have been arrested by the police for allegedly being members of a cult group.
The students it was gathered, where arrested around the railway area of the university community.
Confirming the incident, the state Police PRO, Celestina Kalu stated that the suspects were arrested following information that the sound of a girl crying was being heard from an uncompleted building in the bush around the railway line, Abraka.
She gave the name of the male students as; Chukwudi Ejiede, 22yrs; Emeka Otulugbuke,21yrs; Ogbem Danul 20yrs, and female students as Winifred Eyefian, 22yrs and Ziya George, 21yrs.
Giving the name of the cult group as Viqueen, Kalu stated that one Omojevbe Tracy Ngozi ‘f’, was met by the security operatives being raped as part of the initiation proceeding into the cult group and she was also arrested.
