The suspect simply identified as Ugwuanyi Ezinwanne (akaFloky) was said to have been terrorising inhabitants of the town along with two others now at large; intimidating, harassing and robbing unsuspecting victims of their valuables and cash at gun point.
The native of Ama-Eziani, Achara community in Nsukka Local Government Area, Enugu State, is currently being investigated by the operatives of the special anti-robbery squad, Enugu, in company of two other students still at large.
The suspects had allegedly stormed the premises of their victim, who would not want his name in print, and carted away a plasma television, one play station and N3,000 cash, while the victim was out of the compound.
Following a report of the incident, operatives of the special anti-robbery squad swooped into action and apprehended the suspect, while they recovered stolen items from the suspect’s residence.
The spokesman of the Nigeria Police, Enugu Police command, DSP Ebere Amarizu, confirmed the arrest of the final year student, adding that an intensive manhunt for the fleeing suspects had commenced in full scale.
DSP Amarizu noted that the suspect on interrogation confirmed being a member of the Vikings confraternity, adding that though the suspect regretted his membership, he also disclosed that he blamed his arrest on his inability to give up membership of the cult group.
